About the Role 

We’re looking for a bold and creative Director of Brand Marketing & Communications to define and scale Proper’s brand voice across the industry. This is your chance to own the narrative of a fast-growing, PE-backed platform at the center of real estate, investment, and technology. You’ll set the brand strategy, lead content and thought leadership, and amplify Proper’s presence with sellers, talent, and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Brand Strategy & Voice: Define and evolve Proper’s brand narrative, voice, and identity across all channels. 
  • Thought Leadership: Lead content development and industry storytelling that positions Proper as a forward-thinking market leader. 
  • Visibility & PR: Drive earned media, speaking engagements, and award submissions to build market visibility. 
  • M&A & Growth Enablement: Create sales enablement and marketing campaigns that support acquisitions and investor outreach. 
  • Culture Marketing: Partner with People & Culture to craft internal communications and elevate employer brand stories. 
  • Marketing Infrastructure: Build scalable systems (automation, CRM workflows, content ops) to ensure consistent execution. 
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Manage external vendors and cross-functional initiatives while reporting directly to senior leadership.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in B2B or professional services marketing (real estate, private equity, or financial services preferred). 
  • Proven ability to take ownership from strategy through execution. 
  • Strong expertise in content creation, campaign development, and brand communications. 
  • Skilled with marketing automation, CRM, CMS, and social publishing tools. 
  • Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative.
