Job Description

We’re seeking a motivated   Buyer I   to support our client’s procurement operations in Beaverton, Oregon. In this entry-level professional role, you’ll be responsible for negotiating favorable terms, securing volume discounts, and managing long-term supplier contracts. You will also prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods, services, and supplies essential to customer-focused business processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual looking to develop a strong foundation in procurement and supply chain management.

Contract: 5 months

Location: Hybrid Model with Fridays remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers and vendors.

  • Prepare, process, and monitor requisitions and purchase orders.

  • Support business units in sourcing goods and services that meet operational needs.

  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure procurement aligns with company policies and goals.

  • Assist with process improvement initiatives within the procurement department.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education:   Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Skills:   Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems preferred.

  • Experience:   Previous internship or experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing is a plus.
