The HT Group is seeking a CAD SolidWorks Designer/Draftsman for a client in Beaumont. This is a contract to hire position. Hours are Mon-Fri 7am-4pm – OT as required. Pay will be $25-$30hr DOE. **On site testing required for client interviews**
Must be able to work On Site and Must be Authorized to Work Without Sponsorship. **NO PER DIEM** Responsibilities: - Prepare and review preliminary designs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements
- Perform structural design tasks with a strong focus on AISC Code compliance
- Design and develop base plates, support structures, and other related components
- Draft and model designs using AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and SolidWorks
- Create and maintain documentation and reports using MS Office tools
Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CAD Designer/Draftsman, ideally with a focus on structural design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D and SolidWorks is required
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including overtime and weekends when necessary
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A college degree in a relevant field is preferred, but not mandatory
- Capable of working collaboratively within a design team and providing support for other disciplines as needed
