Roles & Responsibilities
- Represent the R&D function as an Extended Team member for large technology and product development programs.
- Design and execute experiments for development, verification, and evidence generation for assigned programs and projects.
- Document technical knowledge and recommend solutions under guidance.
- Support product development work streams, including Requirements Management, Design Verification, and Design Transfer to Manufacturing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Engineering, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs teams.
- Participate in intellectual property growth, submitting patent applications and Invention Disclosure Records.
- Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices and relevant lab procedures.
- Mentor and train junior team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Travel as required for conferences, manufacturing sites, and customer visits.
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years of direct laboratory experience.
- Experience with polymer formulation, processing, and structure-property relationships.
- Desired: Experience handling clinical specimens, particularly human blood.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools is a plus.
Skills & Certifications
- Strong knowledge of polymer formulation and structure-property relationships.
- Proficient in MS Office, with experience in statistical analysis tools desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in complex team matrices.
- Strong learning agility and self-motivation.
- Ability to take a hands-on approach to work with a sense of urgency.
Eligibilities & qualifications
- B.S. or higher degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or related engineering disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years of direct laboratory experience.
- Bloodborne pathogen safety training will be provided if necessary.
