Basic Job Functions: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. The Day Cab Driver (CDL Class A) role is a local, home daily position, responsible for operating commercial motor vehicle tractors and trailers in compliance with FMCSA regulations to transport goods on public highways and company property. This is a physically demanding position which will involve lifting 80+ pounds in a unique trailer environment. This could include using forklifts, jacks, carts, racks, pallets, moving boxes, packages, or other support components.
