Design Engineer / Production Manager
The Design, Production Management, and Operations Engineer is a key position responsible for the design and optimization of custom aluminum frames and fixtures while overseeing production processes. This multifaceted role involves drafting with SOLIDWORKS, product development, and continuous process improvement. Strong teamwork and effective communication across all levels of the organization are essential to ensure efficient operations and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Engineering:
- Create detailed drawings and designs for custom frames, fixtures, and components (e.g., custom angles, lightboxes, brackets) using SOLIDWORKS.
- Develop products from concepts through design, prototyping, and into production.
- Perform CNC programming as needed to support production requirements.
- Production Management:
- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Manage and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and resource allocation.
- Operations Improvement:
- Record and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct process audits to identify waste, enhance quality, and implement mistake-proofing techniques.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring organized workflows and adherence to timelines.
- Act as a member of the Policy Deployment leadership team, supporting the strategic direction of the company.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in frame/fixture manufacturing as needed to support production demands.
- Oversee inventory management and act as a safety liaison.
- Champion company culture and engage in other duties as assigned by leadership.

- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities to evaluate data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and 3D printing technologies.
- Organized with the ability to multitask across various projects.
