About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead the day-to-day and strategic operations of a retail property portfolio—focused on big box retail and power centers . This leadership role will oversee property management teams, drive operational excellence, support leasing and asset management strategies, and ensure optimal performance across all assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operations for a portfolio of shopping centers and big box retail properties.

  • Manage and mentor property management teams across multiple sites.

  • Support leasing and asset management teams with insights on property operations, tenant buildouts, and lease compliance.

  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and capital planning to drive asset value.

  • Ensure excellent tenant service, maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and capital improvement projects.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leasing, construction, and ownership teams.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of retail property operations experience, with proven big box retail experience .

  • Strong knowledge of retail leasing, asset management, and financial performance metrics .

  • Experience managing multi-site teams and large vendor networks.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Yardi, MRI, or similar property management software.

  • Bachelor's degree required (Business, Real Estate, or related); MBA or certifications (CPM, RPA) a plus.
