Job Title: Echo Technician

Location: Syracuse, NY

Job Type: Contract | Local or Travel

Shift: Day Shift (5x9-hour days)

Pay Rate: $52 – $55/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Echocardiograph Technician to join a dedicated cardiac team in Syracuse, NY. This contract role involves performing a wide range of echocardiographic procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Ideal candidates will have strong technical abilities and a patient-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform 2D, 3D, and Doppler echocardiograms

• Conduct Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)

• Perform stress echo tests (exercise and pharmacologic)

• Support interventional procedures in a Heart and Vascular Center

• Position and prepare patients; explain procedures clearly

• Maintain accurate EMR documentation

• Ensure ultrasound equipment is clean, calibrated, and functional

• Participate in quality assurance initiatives

• Provide rotating coverage for holidays and weekends as needed

• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff

Requirements:

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS – ARDMS) or
  Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS – CCI) OR eligible (must obtain within 1 year)

• Current BLS certification

• Experience in cardiac ultrasound required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related health field
