Role Overview

The Family Law Attorney will manage a caseload of approximately 70 100 cases , representing clients in family court proceedings and related negotiations. This role requires strong experience in the Dallas/Arlington area, excellent courtroom skills, and the ability to supervise and collaborate with support staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in family court hearings, trials, mediations, and negotiations

  • Manage and supervise a support team including paralegals and legal assistants

  • Communicate with support staff to ensure accurate preparation of case documents

  • Interact professionally with court personnel and opposing counsel

  • Update clients frequently regarding their legal matters

  • Research and develop solutions to achieve optimal outcomes for clients

  • Review, revise, and draft pleadings, orders, and motions as needed

  • Prepare exhibits and documentation for hearings or trials in partnership with support staff

  • Maintain accurate billing entries (Goal: ~6 billable hours/day; ~30 billable hours/week)

  • Enter detailed case notes into Needles (CRM)

  • Manage email correspondence and case communication

  • Maintain a steady schedule of hearings, conferences, and deadlines

Requirements
  • 5+ years of Family Law experience

  • Active member of the State Bar of Texas

  • Familiarity with Dallas/Arlington family law cases

  • Ability to handle 70 100 active cases

  • Spanish bilingual skills preferred but not required

  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work 100% onsite
