Food Scientist – Midlothian, TX | $75K–$85K DOE | 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Location: Midlothian, TX 76065
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Food Scientist to join our client's team in Midlothian, TX. This role involves formulating and testing new food products, improving existing formulations, and ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test formulas and perform chemical testing related to R&D initiatives.
- Blend, mix, and pack test products for evaluation.
- Conduct stability, irritation potential, and performance testing of samples.
- Investigate new or alternative raw materials and support sourcing activities.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with industry and government standards.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and prepare technical reports.
- Provide scientific insights to management and technical staff.
- Train and supervise up to three junior scientists or technicians.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of relevant experience in food R&D or formulation.
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques and scientific problem-solving.
- Proficiency in MS Office and analytical software.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Must pass background check and drug screen.
