General Description:
Directs, coordinates and exercises functional safety authority for planning, organization, control,
integration, and completion of construction projects within area of assigned responsibility.
Essential Functions:
• Perform and complete job safety plans and job safety analysis.
• Perform, coordinate and implement safety activities and initiatives at project sites and
evaluate and control environmental hazards.
• Provide hands-on approach to assessing, developing, improving and implementing
safety programs and systems.
• Conduct safety specific orientation for all new hires.
• Conduct site inspections. Assist in maintaining records for reporting and certification
purposes.
• Verify and document compliance along with the status of such items as required
certifications, drug-testing program and safety manual.
• Investigate and assist if filing out reporting documentation of all accidents, injuries and
near misses on the project site and notify appropriate personnel, and case management
of associated claims.
• Post documentation and forms at each project site regarding safety signage, workers
comp, in case of emergency posters, etc.
• Equipment Safety - Conduct regular inspections to include preventative maintenance on
project site equipment.
• Perform or assist in training employees on safety requirements to ensure compliance to
company safety rules and procedures.
• Duties may include light administration and assistance to Project Superintendent.

Physical Demands:
Field/Jobsite Environment – Standing, sitting, climbing, crawling, standing, crouching, bending,
pushing/pulling, walking on uneven surfaces, and exposure to loud noises are to be expected
on a jobsite environment. This position is predominately outdoors at an Industrial Construction
Site. Exposure to extreme hot or cold outside temperatures is possible.
Position Type/Expected Work Hours:
This is a full-time, salaried position. Days and hours of work vary from each jobsite. Occasional
evening/weekend work or travel may be required as job duties demand.
Required Education and Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in Field Safety and/or Industrial Safety Degree / COSS / CSP /
CSST
• Encouraged to hold NCCER Certification in Field Safety
Industry Related Requirements:
• Must hold a valid TWIC Card
• Must hold a valid OSHA Basic Plus
• Must be able to pass all Safety Council related courses
• Must undergo Pre-Employment Screening (physical, drug & alcohol screen, audiogram,
fit test if applicable)
• Must hold a valid Driver’s License to operate company equipment and/or vehicles
