Lead laboratory operations at our new community hospital in
Farmington, New Mexico ! This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality laboratory services while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do - Direct daily laboratory operations, including staff scheduling and resource allocation
- Monitor workload across functional areas to maintain productivity
- Implement and maintain quality control standards
- Collaborate with physicians, laboratory staff, and the Medical Director
- Manage laboratory information systems and oversee equipment maintenance
- Lead staff recruitment, training, and development
- Ensure regulatory compliance and manage quality assurance programs
- Coordinate with pathologists on compliance and documentation
What You'll Need - Associate’s degree in clinical laboratory science or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years management, supervisor, or team lead experience
- ASCP/AMT certification preferred
- Knowledge of laboratory regulatory requirements and compliance standards
- Understanding of infection control and laboratory safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Experience with laboratory information systems
- Normal color vision required
