Position: Entry Level Machine Operator
Location: Spring Lake, MI
Shift: 1st (6am-2:30pm)
Pay $16/hr
Key Responsibilities
Set up, calibrate, and operate production machinery following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and scheduled tasks.
Load raw materials or components into machines, start cycles, and monitor machine performance.
Inspect machined parts using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers), make minor adjustments, and report defects.
Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment runs efficiently.
Document production data, maintain accurate logs, and escalate issues to supervisors.
Adhere to safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean work environment.
Collaborate with teammates and participate in continuous improvement and team initiatives.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or equivalent experience is a plus.
Little to no previous experience required—on-the-job training provided. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
Basic math ability (add/subtract/multiply/divide), familiarity with measurements and weights.
Ability to read and follow basic written or verbal work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset.
Good physical stamina: able to stand, bend, lift up to 40–50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
Capability to work under shift schedules, including possible evenings or weekends.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and reliability.
