We’re recruiting a Production Supervisor to lead first-shift operations (7:00am–3:30pm, occasional OT until 5:30pm) for our client’s manufacturing facility in Lorain, OH. This role oversees a team of about 25 employees and is responsible for driving safety, efficiency, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day production to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals
Troubleshoot and resolve production and quality issues with staff and maintenance
Mentor, train, and evaluate team members; support skill development and advancement
Ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards; conduct regular inspections
Partner with maintenance to reduce downtime and improve machine reliability
Track and report KPIs including efficiency, waste reduction, and on-time delivery
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management
What You Bring
Manufacturing background with supervisory leadership experience
At least 5 years in production plus 2 years leading teams
Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, and quality standards
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices
ERP systems and Microsoft Office proficiency
Degree or equivalent technical training preferred
Forklift certification and bilingual Spanish skills a plus
Compensation
$70K+ depending on experience
