A long-established precision manufacturer located in the western suburbs is seeking an experienced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector to join their quality team on 2nd shift. This position plays a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for components used in aerospace, defense, and other critical industries.
Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) using methods such as Magnetic Particle (MT) and Liquid Penetrant (PT) inspection on precision components.
Interpret and evaluate indications in accordance with applicable specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports, records, and certifications.
Work closely with production, engineering, and quality departments to resolve issues and ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
Follow all company and industry safety protocols, including handling of chemicals and testing equipment.
Assist with calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and NDT equipment.
Minimum 3 years of experience performing NDT inspections in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
Certifications in MT and/or PT Level II (NAS 410, ASNT, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of part drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
Experience with aerospace or precision gear components a plus.
Attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and ability to work independently on 2nd shift.
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency may be required for defense-related work.
