Teacher Assistant/Paraprofessional Position – Newcastle Early Childhood Center
Newcastle Early Childhood Center is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant/Paraprofessional to join our team. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students in a dynamic, four-day school week environment.
Position Overview: The Teacher Assistant will work closely with classroom teachers to support student learning, both one-on-one and in small groups. This position requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a willingness to adapt to the needs of students and staff throughout the day.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience working with children preferred
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Patience, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Provide instructional support under the guidance of certified staff
Assist with classroom management and student supervision
Support students with individual needs, both academically and behaviorally
Help maintain a positive and safe learning environment
Schedule: Four-day school week (Monday through Thursday)
