We are seeking an experienced Penetration Tester / Ethical Hacker to join our cybersecurity team in Albany, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and ethical hacking across networks, applications, and systems.

This role requires working onsite and actively collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, exploit, and report security weaknesses. Strong communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to produce comprehensive technical documentation are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct manual and automated penetration testing on networks, applications, and systems.
  • Identify and exploit security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
  • Perform social engineering assessments and red team exercises as needed.
  • Develop and deliver detailed findings reports with actionable remediation guidance.
  • Stay current with the latest security threats, tools, and trends.
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in ethical hacking and penetration testing.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, Wireshark, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of OWASP Top 10, network protocols, and secure coding practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and cloud (AWS/Azure) environments.

Required Certifications (at least one):

  • CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
  • OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional)
  • GPEN (GIAC Penetration Tester)
  • or equivalent recognized industry certification
