A leading cancer care facility is seeking a highly skilled Investigational Drug Services Pharmacist – Oncology to join their pharmacy team. This critical role manages all aspects of investigational drug trials and supports the daily operations of the oncology infusion pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and promoting safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:Manage investigational drug protocols including coordination, preparation, dispensing, and documentation.
Support the oncology infusion pharmacy’s daily operations, ensuring safe and compliant medication handling.
Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, USP <797>/<800> , Joint Commission standards, and institutional policies.
Serve as the liaison between pharmacy, clinical, and research teams for investigational studies.
Train and educate healthcare professionals and pharmacy staff on investigational and oncology medications.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns involved in clinical workflows.
Monitor and improve processes related to patient safety, medication accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution (or equivalent degree).
Active New York Pharmacist license (or eligibility for reciprocity).
Minimum 2 years of experience in oncology pharmacy or investigational drug services.
In-depth knowledge of FDA regulations, GCP, USP <797>/<800> , and investigational drug protocols.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Familiarity with oncology infusion standards and investigational drug handling practices.
