We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Nurse to join our outpatient Day Treatment Center serving geriatric patients in Ridgewood (Queens), NY. This is a locums-to-permanent position, ideal for an experienced nurse who is passionate about working with older adults in a community-based clinical setting.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (No nights or weekends)
Compensation: $50–$60/hour + pending experience
Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm
Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications according to prescribed treatment plans
Perform phlebotomy (no certification required) and EKGs
Support Medical Assistants as needed in daily clinic operations
Complete prior authorizations and assist with care coordination
Conduct triage, escalate concerns, and communicate directly with PCPs
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and follow-up care
Maintain inventory by performing ordering and auditing of clinical supplies
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse license in the state of New York
Current BLS certification
Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience, preferably in outpatient or geriatric settings
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
