Job Title: Security Officer
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to handle conflicts effectively. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of all individuals on the premises.
Duties
Monitor and patrol designated areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety compliance.
Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid and CPR as needed.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or provide information.
Document daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences in detailed reports.
Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potential confrontations.
Experience
Previous experience in private security and law enforcement is required.
Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and practices is advantageous.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and monitoring procedures is beneficial.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
A background in military service can be an asset but is not required.

Pay: $30 - $37 per hour
Expected Hours: No more than 40 per week
