Marlow East, a modern American restaurant located in the heart of the Upper East Side, is seeking an experienced Sommelier to join our opening team. Our wine program will spotlight a curated, global selection with an emphasis on elegance, balance, and pairing harmony with our seasonal à la carte menu.
We’re looking for a candidate who brings deep wine knowledge, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to elevate the guest experience through thoughtful recommendations and warm, professional service. This is a key role in shaping a beverage program that matches the ambition and refinement of our culinary vision.
Requirements:
– Prior sommelier or wine service experience in upscale or fine dining
– Strong communication and table-side presence
– Dedication to guest satisfaction and team collaboration
– NYC DOH certification and formal wine training (CMS, WSET, or similar) preferred
